LayerBank Automated Yield Loops

Yield loops combine supplied collateral and repeated borrowing to create leveraged exposure to a supported lending strategy.

How LayerBank Yield Loops Work

A loop strategy supplies collateral, borrows a supported asset and reuses liquidity according to the strategy design. The resulting position can increase effective exposure to supply yield and rewards, but it also increases borrowing costs and liquidation sensitivity.

APY and Maximum Multiplier

Looped APY is not the same as a normal market Supply APR. It reflects several components, including underlying yield, supply interest, borrow cost, incentives and the selected leverage multiplier.

See LayerBank APR for the rate components and E-Mode for correlated-asset efficiency settings.

Liquidity and Execution Constraints

A strategy cannot assume unlimited borrow liquidity. The Earn interface shows available liquidity for the borrow side, and changing utilization can affect both rate economics and how much leverage is practical.

Leverage and Liquidation Risk

Leveraged loops magnify both yield exposure and risk. Borrow APR can rise, collateral prices can move and strategy APY can turn negative when borrowing costs exceed supply yield and incentives.

Before looping: review Health Factor, Max LTV, available liquidity and liquidation thresholds.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are LayerBank yield loops guaranteed to be profitable?

No. APY, borrow costs, incentives and liquidity are variable, and a leveraged strategy can produce negative net returns.

What is the difference between Simple Earn and Yield Loops?

Simple Earn supplies an asset without an automated leverage loop. Yield Loops use collateral and borrowing to increase strategy exposure.

Can a yield loop be liquidated?

Yes. Leveraged strategies use collateralized borrowing and can face liquidation if the position moves beyond permitted risk thresholds.
